Part of Edward Morgan Humphreys Papers,
Bangor. Informs EMH that the Rev. Llewelyn Lloyd was born in Tanygrisiau and was not "a son of Anglesey" as mentioned in the Post. He was the first baby to be professionally delivered by the late Dr R. D. Evans. During the [First World] War, Lloyd was a Chaplain in France, and deputised for a colleague at the funeral of an officer who had been killed, whom he subsequently discovered to be the son of Dr Evans, Lieutenant Deio Evans, "after whom 'Hedd Wyn' wrote the englyn which later found its way on to his own memorial".
