John Evans (d. 1949) of Tre-boeth, Pembrokeshire, had a shop and three houses built for himself at Vergam Terrace, Fishguard in 1907. He was a composer, eisteddfodwr and music shop proprietor. He was appointed as an examiner for the Tonic Solfa College in 1891.
