[Soldier, King's (Liverpool Regiment) #1]

Full-length portrait of a soldier in the King's (Liverpool Regiment) identifiable by the Hanoverian horse on his cap and collar badges. He is holding a cigarette in one hand and a walking stick in the other. Interestingly the backdrop to this portrait is a hastily erected piece of cloth rather than the usual studio setting.

[Pte. F Sawiki, US V Corps].

Studio portrait of a smiling GI, his arms crossed in front of him. He is wearing his combat jacket and helmet. Apart from his name the negative is inscribed 'R.E . Carms. This is probably a reference to their camp. The pentagonal shoulder sleeve insignia identifies him as a soldier in V Corps
