A collection of 'carolau', 'cerddi', 'englynion', and other verse in various metres. The poets include John Rhees, 1776-8, Hugh Jones 'o Faes y glase' (1749-1825), Robert Evan 'o Feifod' (fl. c. 1750), Edward Morus 'o'r Plas yn y Pentre', 1785, Ellis Rowland (c. 1650-c. 1730), George Humphreys (senior) (1747?-1813), 1803-7, George Humphreys (junior), Ellis Roberts (d. 1789), Jonathan Hughes (1721-1805), Evan Williams, Rhys Lloyd, Harri 'o Graig y Gath' [Harri Parri (1709?-1800)], Hugh Morris (1622-1709), John Thomas (Pentrefoelas), Thomas Edwards (Twm o'r Nant) (1739-1810) and John Cain alias 'Ceiriog' (c. 1575-c. 1650). Also included is a shoemaker's accounts and a charm against tooothache.

Caernarfon, of sermons preached at Brynteg, Bethesda, Calvinistic Methodist church from its opening, 28 August 1864, until 27 August 1865, together with a pulpit supply list, 1865-1867 (inverted text ff. 86-8); two scriptural essays, 'Traethawd ar y Pwysigrwydd o Iawn-dreulio Boreu'r Oes' and 'Bywyd Iesu Grist yn Fywyd o Esiampl' (inverted text ff. 83-5 verso and 80-1 verso); and verses, 'Englynion Cyfarchiadol I'r Ieuengctyd' (inverted text ff. 81 verso-2).

A copy of Butler's Improved Cellar Book which belonged in 1862 to William Walters. It contains manuscript notes on the history of England. Pasted in at the end is a press-cutting of 'Ychydig hanes, ar fesur Can, am y braw a'r trallod fu ar drigolion Twynyrodyn, o achos dau ddyn dyeithr ddaethant i lettya i arwydd y "Goron", yn mhentref Merthyr Tydfil, yn Sir Forganwg. A bound volume labelled 'Eisteddfod Proceddings', compiled by William Jenkins Rees (1772-1855), rector of Cascob, Radnorshire, and consisting largely of printed notices addressed to him by Cambrian Societies in Wales and in London. The contents include a notice of an eisteddfod under the auspices of the Gwyneddigion Society at Caerwys, 1798, together with Gosodaethau a Rheolau Cymdeithas y Gwyneddigion and other material relating to the Society; a draft consitution of the Cambrian Society in the hand of W. J. Rees [1818]; resolutions and accounts of the Cambrian Society in Dyfed, 1818-20 and undated; programmes of concerts at the Town Hall, Carmarthen, by the Royal Bath Harmonic Society, 1819-20; a programme of an eisteddfod to be held at Carmarthen in 1823, together with manuscript addresses delivered by Thomas Price ('Carnhuanawc') and [Daniel Evans ('Daniel Ddu o Geredigion'); resolutions of the Cambrian Society in Gwent, 1821-2; material relating to eisteddfodau and concerts held at Brecon, 1822 and 1826; resolutions of the Cymmrodorion Society in Powys, 1819-24; announcements of eisteddfodau to be held at Wrexham, 1820, and Welshpool, 1824; a holograph letter from Walter Davies ('Gwallter Mechain') to W. A composite volume containing transcripts of historical and literary material in the hand of Edward Williams ('Iolo Morganwg'). Pp. 1 -74 contain one of the two known reputed transcripts by Edward Williams of the supposedly variant version of the medieval Welsh Chronicle of the Princes ('Brut y Tywysogion') which is generally known as 'Brut Aberpergwm' or 'The Gwentian Brut'. The superscription on p. 1 reads 'Llyma Vrut y Tywysogion val y bu Ryfeloedd a gweithredoedd enseiliaid a Dialeddau, a Rhyfeddodau gwedi eu tynnu or hen gofion cadwedig au blyneddu'n Drefnedig gan Garadawc Llancarfan', and, according to a note at the end of the text (p. 74), the present copy was transcribed by Iorwerth ab Iorwerth Gwilym, i.e. Edward Williams, in 1790 from one of the manuscripts of the Reverend Thomas Richards, curate of Llangrallo [co. Glamorgan], who, in turn, had copied the work in 1764 from one of the manuscripts in the possession of George Williams, esq., of Aberpergwm [co. Glamorgan]. This is substantially the text that was published in The Myvyrian Archaiology of Wales . . ., vol. II, 1801, pp. 468-582, and also in Aneurin Owen (ed.): Brut y Tywysogion; the Gwentian Chronicle of Caradoc of Llancarvan . . . (London, 1863), this second publication being accompanied by an English translation. P. 89 is inscribed 'English Translation of Caradoc of Lancarvan's Annals of the Princes of Wales. By Edward Williams. 1807. Rough Copy'. The section now paginated 101-88 contains an English translation of the text found in pp. 1-74. Other items in the volume include pp. 191-208, extracts from William Warrington: The History of Wales . . . (London, 1786); 215-19, a draft copy of the last three paragraphs of the preface to The Myvyrian Archaiology . . ., vol. II, in which the text of 'Brut Aberpergwm' was published (see G. J. Williams: op. cit., pp. 206-08); 223-5, a transcript of the opening paragraphs of a version of the Laws of Hywel Dda; and 233- 43, copies of poems by [Edward Williams] 'Iolo Morganwg'.

A miscellany entitled 'Blwch Manion', largely of the period 1855-9, in the hand of Enoch Williams ('Llithrig Arfon'), tailor, Llanrwst. It contains strict- and free-metre poetry by the scribe and others; a copy of part of a letter from the scribe's brother, W. E. Williams, Trenton, New Jersey, to his uncle Richard Jones [Capel Curig], [18]56 (the writer's reminiscences of Capel Curig, the writer's church membership); the scribe's wages accounts and tailoring measurements; memoranda relating to eisteddfodau; an essay on 'Manteision Gwybodaeth'; an extensive collection of Welsh proverbs; etc. The titles of the poems include 'Englyn i Glogwyn yr Ogo. ger Llanrwst', 'Llinellau Ar farwolaeth Miss Margaret Jones, merch Mr R. Jones, Tuhwnt-i'r-Bont, Llanrwst. Bu farw Hytraf [sic] 31 1853', 'Englyn i Mari fy ngwraig', 'Englyn o anerchiad i aelodau y gymdaethas [sic] lenyddol yn Llanrwst', 'Englynion beddargraff....' (to Llewelyn Samuel, Bethesda, William David, Siop y Garreg, Dinas [Glamorgan], William Jones, Pen Rallt, Betws-[y-coed], Hugh Jones, Pen Rallt, and John Jones, 'diweddar Ddeiacon Bettws y Coed'), 'Englyn i Miss Elinor Roberts, merch Mr David Roberts, Tan y Ffordd, Llanbedr ...', 'John Mills ['Ieuan Glan Alarch']', etc.
