In the foreground is a wild rosebush with creamy-yellow flowers. In the distance can be seen mountains, their peaks shrouded in mist. These may be the roses mentioned on page 172 of 'A Wider Sky' (Gomer 1991). See also 4689/194 for a slightly different view of the same scene.

A small white trumpet vase holding six or so bluebell stems. This is a variant of photo album 3900, photograph 5. In this instance the corners have been trimmed staight across to form a lozenge shape and the print mounted on brown paper.
A small bunch of primrose flowers and leaves placed in a coffee cup. The cup, which has a pastoral scene with a man carrying a child on his shoulders followed by a second child, is sitting in a matching saucer. The saucer has in turn been placed on a leather bound copy of 'Views in Wales I'. The corners of the print have been cropped slightly. The print is mounted on blue paper. This is a variant of Llyfr Ffoto 3900, photograph 10.
