'1936-7 File'. Includes a large number of press cuttings of the Royal Visit to Caernarfon in July 1937. D. Lloyd George was Constable of Caernarfon Castle. There are also typescript copies of a letter, 26 March 1937, from Neville Chamberlain to Winston Churchill, and of a letter, 1 April 1937, from Churchill to D. Lloyd George.

Copies of correspondence between Lord Atkin and the Archbishop of Wales, 1938, which were sent to Viscount Sankey by L. S. Whitehead; letters from the Archbishop of Wales to Viscount Sankey, 1938, and from the Archdeacon of Brecon, 1938; copies of bills and memoranda, notes, and press cuttings relating to the divorce dispute, 1937-1939. Also included is a High Court Judgement relating to a disputed annuity and further related papers, 1937-1938.

'1938 File'. The papers include a group of press cuttings relating to the golden wedding of D. Lloyd George and Dame Margaret in Jan. 1938.

Typescript draft, with some autograph revision, of Saunders Lewis's television play, '1938', first performed on BBC Wales Television, 27 February 1978, and subsequently published in Y Cyrnol Chabert a 1938 (Pen-y-groes: Gwasg Dwyfor, 1989); together with photocopies, some bearing autograph revision, of earlier typescript drafts containing some variation of text and passages omitted from the final version.

'1939 File', including the typescript text of D. Lloyd George's speeches at the Caxton Hall, 10 October 1939 (on the Council of Action), at the Pavilion, Caernarfon, on 21 October 1939, and a broadcast speech of 6 December 1939. There is also a typescript copy of a note, 20 November 1939, from Sir Samuel Hoare to D. Lloyd George.

'1940 File'. The papers include a typescript copy of a letter, 29 May 1940, from D. Lloyd George to Churchill concerning the possibility of D. Lloyd George's entering the War Cabinet; a memorandum, 12 September 1940, by D. Lloyd George on 'The Situation: Present Position: Is it Retrievable?: How and to what Extent?'; typescript copies of letters, 1 and 7 October 1940, from D. Lloyd George to A. J. Sylvester, and, 18 November 1940, from D. Lloyd George to Gwilym Lloyd-George.

'1941 File', including notes prepared by A. J. Sylvester for D. Lloyd George, and notes for D. Lloyd George's speech in the House of Commons, 3 April 1941.

'1943 File'. The papers include a letter, 16 April 1943, and a note, 20 April 1943, from Dr Thomas Jones, CH, to A. J. Sylvester, and a copy of A. J. Sylvester's reply, 19 April 1943. There are also typescript drafts of an article by A. J. Sylvester on Gwilym Lloyd-George, and a group of press cuttings concerning D. Lloyd George's 80th birthday in January 1943.

The file contains correspondence relating to the general election campaigns of 1945 in the Flintshire constituency and 1950 in the Flintshire East constituency. Many are addressed to Eirene White congratulating her on her election to parliament in February 1950. The correspondents include George Bernard Shaw, 1945, Major Edgar Jones, 1950, T. I. Jeffreys-Jones, 1950, William Mars-Jones, 1950, Frank Soskice, 1950, Emlyn Williams, 1950, and Harold Wilson, 1950.

The file contains mainly printed items deriving from Eirene White's first election campaign in the Flintshire East division in February 1950. They include a large number of election leaflets and press cuttings.
