Address of Edward Williams, Flimston, to the Revd. Gervase Powel asking him to use his influence on the writer's behalf to secure for him the post of tide-waiter at the port of Aberthaw in place of Mr Basset who is ill and deemed by his physicians past all hopes of recovery. On the dorse is part of a draft of a letter concerning a proposed paper, the Cardiff Gazette.
