The searches were undertaken at the request of solicitors, and used as evidence in legal disputes, often relating to manorial lands throughout Wales, including foreshore rights, mineral rights, and fishery rights.

Material relating to public health,

Two volumes containing reports, correspondence, statistics, replies to questionnaires, etc., all relating to public health, infectious diseases, sanitation, housing, etc., accumulated or written by Morgan James Rees when he was medical officer of health in Aberdare and afterwards in the employ of the Local Government Board. They relate to Aberdare, Caernarvon, St Dogmaels Rural District Council and Swansea, also to certain districts in England.

Male choirs

The series comprises correspondence, 1970-1999, relating to financial assistance along with programmes, rules and regulations, constitutions and newsletters, 1966-1999, originating with individual male choirs.

Emyn-donau ac anthemau

A book of hymn-tunes and anthems described as 'Hen Lyfr Dafydd Jones, Bont'. The majority of the items are anonymous. The following composers are represented: 'R. W.', W. J. White, B. Mills, 'T. W.', J[ohn] Edwards, Llangadog, R[ichard] Mills ['Rhydderch Hael'], J[ohn] A[mbrose] Lloyd and J. C. Edwards ('Minimus'). Pasted to the back cover is a printed copy of 'Pennillion i'w Canu yn Nghylchwyl Cymdeithas Ddirwestol Penllyn'.
