Release of Tyr Duffryn Taff otherwise Tyr Ynis Owen, p. Merthyr Tudful, co. Glam., to secure £2000,

Release by (1) Daniel Williams, late of Perthygleison, p. Merthyr Tudful, co. Glam., but now of p. Trevethin, co. Mon., esq., to (3) Richard Johnson of Stratford Place, co. Mddx, banker, trustee of (2) Mark Wood, late of Piercefield, co. Mon., but now of Gatton Park, co. Surrey, esq., of a m. and lands (118a.) called Tyr Duffryn Taff otherwise Tyr Ynis Owen, p. Merthyr Tudful, co. Glam., to the use of 1 for the term of 1000 years to secure £2000 and 4%, with remainder to the use of 3 in trust for 2. Consideration: £625 paid by 2 to 1, part of a sum of £2625 for the absolute purchase of the fee simple. Endorsed: the term of 1000 years was surrendered by a deed endorsed on the duplicate of this deed, 13 May 1812.

Release by (1) Sir John Awbrey of Llantriddyd, co. Glam., bart (trustee), to (3) Robert Button of Cotterell, co. Glam., and Charles Hutchison of p. St Jameses, co. Mddx., esq's (new trustees), with the consent of (2) Thomas Mathews of Llandaf, co. Glam., esq., son and heir of Edward Mathews of Llandaf, esq., dec., who was the surviving son and heir of David Mathews of Llandaf, esq., dec., and Henrietta the wife of the said Thomas Mathews, of the trust established by D 4/2, that is, to the use of the said Thomas Mathews for life, afterwards to the use of 3 for a term of 99 years starting from the death of the said Thomas Mathews, charged with an annuity of £100 in lieu of dower for the life of the said Henrietta Mathews, and afterwards to the use of the heirs of the said Thomas Mathews. Recites D 4/2, that Colonel Thomas Stradling and Captain Edward Games, the trustees of the will, had conveyed the trust to Sir John Awbrey of Llantriddyd, father of 1, Bussy Mansell of Briton Ferry, and David Jenkins of Hensol, all in co. Glam., esq's, that Sir John Awbrey survived his co-trustees before himself dying, thus the trust devolved to 1 his son and heir, and that 1 is desirous to be discharged of the trust.

Release by (1) Sir John Williams of Llangybi Castle, co. Mon., baronet, to (2) John Jeffries of St Mary Ax, London, esq., of the manor of Caer-went, a farm called Slow Farm (300a.), a farm (100a.) in the tenure of John Williams, a farm called Gunters Farm (120a.), and other farms, m's etc. (acreages and tenants given), lands lying in fields called The West Field, The North Field, Beneth Caire, East Cair, North Cair, closes called Ryland, Eight Acres, Beneth Way, Ayland, Bothorn Way, The Four Acres, Cair, two water grist mills called Kemeys Mills, and lands in p's Llanmelyn [a place in p. Caer-went], Maesgwenith [a manor in p. Caer-went], Caldicot, Slow [a place in p. Caer-went], Shirenewton, 'Llanwaun' and Crick, all co. Mon., to have freely from any transactions made by Sir Trevor Williams, father of 1 (with exception of recognizances, leases, demises and assignments listed 1685-96), with covenant to levy a fine by 1. Mon., an Act of Parliament passed to enable 1 to sell the said manors, a conveyance of a moiety of the manors of Ewias Lacy, Walterstone, Trescaillan and other lands in co. Here., to George Jackson (GJ) of Derby, executor of the last will of Roger Jackson, and devisee of his estate, for £7,561, dated 5-6 Feb. 1693, and the other moiety to Sir Francis Child (FC) of London, kt, the said mortgage being in trust to them, that 2 purchased the said manors and lands in co. Here. for £7,561, by a conveyance dated 4-5 Aug. 1696, between the said GJ and FC and 2, by an indenture dated 5 Aug. 1696, between GJ, RG, FC and 2 it was agreed that 2 should purchase the manor of Caer-went and lands in co. Mon., then in mortgage to the said GJ, RG, and in possession of 2, for £4,600 towards the payment of £5,527-15-0 due to 2 upon the several mortgages he had agreed to take in securing the said purchase of Ewias Lacy and Caer-went, the residue of the purchase money for Caer-went being £2,439, to be paid towards what was due to FC and GJ, the residue of the debt of £5,527-15-0 due to 2, an account between 1 and 2 dated 25 March 1701 for the sum of £130 for lands called Canon Lands, part of the manor of Caer-went to 2, the purchase money for Caer-went reduced to £4,468, due to 2 the sum of £1,750, the sum of £2,029 being the residue of the said purchase price of Caer-went after the paymant of £2,439 part of the sum of FC and GJ, that the leases of lands called Canon Lands in Caer-went (tenants named) offered for sale for £4,500 were found to be expired, and that 1 had no title to it, and it was agreed between 1 and 2 that 2 should be allowed the sum of £132, and that the purchase price for Caer-went be reduced to £4,468, and 2 should retain the sum of £2,029 towards his debt of £5,527-15-0, and apply the residue of £4,468, being £2,439 towards payment of what is due to FC and GJ from 1, and that the residue of the debt of £1,750 shall be paid to 2. Surrey, bart, dec., father of 2), to (2) William Mark Wood of Pall Mall, co. Mddx, esq., an officer in the 60th regiment of infantry at present stationed at Corfu, of the manor of Rumney and other freehold manors, m's etc. devised by the said will of Sir Mark Wood to 1 and his fellow trustees, and assignment of the leasehold tmts, hereditaments etc., all co’s Mon. and Glam. Release of equity of redemption in a m. and lands, p. Christchurch,

Release of equity of redemption by (1) Lewis Turbervile of p. Christchurch, co. Mon., yeoman, and Anne, his wife, formerly wife of Edward Jones of the same, dec., to (3) Thomas Van of the same, esq., and declaration by (2) Edward George of p. Llan-wern, yeoman, that he will surrender to the use of 3, one m., one stable, one orchard and two parcels of land, bounded by the wood called Lower Priory Wood on the west side, and the lane leading from Nash towards Langston on the north side, two parcels of land called The Eight Acres, bounded by the wood called Middle Priory Wood on the west side, and the highway aforesaid on the south side, and a barn bounded by the same highway to the north, (14a.), all in the p. and manor of Christchurch. Recites a surrender at manor of Coldra, dated 24 Dec. 1695, by Anne, wife of 1, and Edward Jones, her late husband, of the abovenamed lands, to 2 in trust to 3, for securing the sum of £76, that if the money would be repaid to 3, 2 would surrender back the lands to 1, the death of Edward Jones, the marriage of Anne to Lewis Turbervile, and that 3 has agreed to purchase the lands from 1 for a further £19-9-10. Recitals include D 2/16, that 1, 2 and 3 agreed to lay out £6,631 5s. in the purchase of freehold lands, that 1 has laid out £2,920 5s. in the purchase of lands in co.
