Literary, family and business papers, 1732-1982, of Lewis Lewis ('Awenfab o Wynfe', 1837-1906), poet, of Gwynfe, Carmarthenshire, his son, Dr Ivor Lewis, St Asaph, and other members of his family, including drafts of poetry by Lewis Lewis; denominational diaries, 1848-1908; and letters, including correspondence, 1854-1947, between Lewis Lewis and relatives and friends in the United States and Canada.

Correspondence and papers relating to Aberdare, including material relating to eisteddfodau, and to religious and political matters; addresses on miscellaneous social and welfare issues in Wales; sermons; ballads and poems; and chronological indexes to eisteddfodau from the earliest times to the twentieth century.

Papers relating to the Madryn estate, Caernarfonshire, mainly comprising accounts, 1834-1904, title deeds, 1806-1890; family correspondence, 1833-1868; and papers of Roger Edwards, Mold (1811-1886), Calvinistic Methodist minister and author, whose grand-daughter, Eleanor, married George Frederick Cunningham Yale, a descendant of the Jones-Parry family.

The fonds comprises records of the Fellowship of Reconciliation ('Cymdeithas y Cymod yng Nghymru'), 1939-2001, including minutes, correspondence, newsletters, periodicals and newspaper cuttings. A further collection of newspaper cuttings were received in October 2014.

Papers of the Rev. C. Tawelfryn Thomas, 1837-1938, comprising letters addressed to him from religious, literary and political figures, 1874-1938, mainly about biographical details of historical and contemporary ministers and poets, eisteddfod competitions, publication of books and articles, including Thomas's own work on Ieuan Gwynedd, the Independent College in Bala, personal matters, preaching engagements and ministers' appointments; stanzas composed by him; and poetry by William Cosslett (Gwilym Elian) and others, 1837-1903.

Political and professional papers of W. H. Mainwaring, 1910-1970, including papers relating to the Cambrian Combine Collieries dispute, 1910-1911; the manuscript of the publication, The Miners' Next Step, 1912; papers relating to the South Wales Miners' Idustrial Union, 1928-1932; correspondence, 1905-1970, and pamphlets of economic and Socialist interest, [late 19th cent.] - [early 20th cent.].

Genealogical material compiled for Lord Howard de Walden during the early years of his tenancy of Chirk Castle, comprising transcripts of manuscripts containing Welsh genealogies compiled under the supervision of Arthur Owen Vaughan ('Owen Rhoscomyl'); letters, 1906-1921, mainly addressed to Arthur Owen Vaughan, relating to antiquarian and genealogical matters, academic research, etc.; genealogical notes, pedigrees, transcripts of wills, etc.; and an account book, 1870-1872, of the Chirk Castle Estate.

Correspondence and papers of T.G.G. Herbert together with historical records acquired by him, 1736-1899, general and political correspondence, 1953-1986, much of it relating to the work of the Ceredigion District Council; papers relating to the Cardiganshire County Council elections, 1955-1972; personal papers, 1936-1988; and papers relating to his son Rhodri Herbert, 1954-1972.

An additional five boxes of papers were donated February 2006. This group remains uncatalogued. A collection of photographs, slides and postcards were received at the same time, which also remain uncatalogued.
