Memoranda of cases heard in London, 1637-1641, and memoranda and accounts of legal services largely rendered to members of the Wynn family and their relations: William Wynn, Owen Wynn, Maurice Wynn, Sir Richard Wynn, William Mostyn, Mr Bodvell etc. The notebook may have been that of one of Henry Wynn's clerks.

Title deeds for two groups of properties in the townships of Dyffryn, Main and Peniarth in the parish of Meifod, Montgomeryshire, purchased by Charles Watkin Williams Wynn from Samuel Leach of Llanforda Issa in 1806. The first group comprises Pentrego, Maes y Wern, a messuage with a blacksmith’s shop, Pen-y-coed, Kynant (Ceunant), three parcels of land previously belonging to Main Farm, Pen-y-foel, Coed-tre-las, Ty yn y Celyn and Pen-y-craig, and includes deeds by Richard Rocke to William Humffreys of Llwyn for the purchase of Pen-y-coed, 1784, and by John Humffreys and his mortgagee to Thomas Morris of Main and his trustees, 1790; deeds relating to a recovery of the estate of Powel Parry of Main, 1789; a mortgage by Thomas Morris, cousin and devisee in the will of Powel Parry, of properties belonging to the latter’s estate, 1798; a conveyance by Thomas Morris to trustees in consideration of the marriage of his daughter Mary to Samuel Leach of Llanforda Issa, with copies, 1800. The second group of properties comprises parts of Dyffryn Farm called the piece below the village, Singrige, three furlongs in the town field, Croes Duon, Ystum-yr-Wydd, Cae Delin, Cae David Hugh and Gro Ucha. There are deeds recording their respective purchases by Samuel Leach and Thomas Morris from John Williams of Glanhafren and Catharine his wife, 1800, from Robert Clifton of Clifton Hall, Nottinghamshire, 1802, and from Walter Jones of Clomendu, Corwen, and Arthur Davies of the Hays, Oswestry, 1802; and a mortgage of some of the recently puchased premises, 1802. Finally, the file contains the conveyances by Samuel Leach and his mortgagee, and by Samuel Leach, his wife Mary, daughter of Thomas Morris, their remaining trustee Richard Croxon, and mortgagees who included John Edwards and Hugh Edwards, executors of Edward Edwards, Archdeacon of Brecon, of the two respective groups of properties to Charles Watkin Williams Wynn and his trustee, 1806

Title deeds for Pentrego in Dyffryn Meifod and Main, Montgomeryshire, 1665-1692. They include the following marriage settlements: Ambrose Phillips and Margaret his wife, daughter of Thomas Brookes of Dyffryn, 1665; Robert Parry of Main and Alice his wife, daughter of William Lloyd of Main, settling property in Main, Dyffryn and Dolgronn, 1667; and Robert Phillips of Shrewsbury and Elizabeth Scott, daughter of Richard Scott, naming Pentre yr Goe, the Bull in the township of Peniarth and other messuages in Dyffryn, Meifod, Main and Peniarth, preceded by a deed to lead uses of a fine involving Margaret Davies, wife of Richard Davies of Altfawr, to whom Robert Phillips was nephew, 1691, and followed by the final concord, 1692. The file also contains an assignment by Thomas Brookes, Margaret his wife and trustees to Ambrose Phillips of an annuity, 1667/8; and the will of Ambrose Phillips of Shrewsbury, 1677.

They include deeds relating to a recovery of the estate of Thomas Phillips, 1730; a mortgage by Robert Phillips to Mary Harwood of Shrewsbury, 1731; a succession of assignments of mortgage by the mortgagees of Robert Phillips, 1734, John Lloyd of Pentrego, widowed husband of Elizabeth, niece of Robert Phillips, 1748-1750, William Humphreys of Llwyn, husband of Anne, daughter of John Lloyd, who had purchased the premises, 1759, and an assignment from the last mortgagee, Rev. Richard Maurice, back to William Humphreys, 1765; a conveyance prior to the marriage of William Humphreys and Ann Lloyd, in trust for the payment of annuities to John Lloyd and his brother Meyrick Lloyd, 1757; a mortgage by William Humphreys, of Pentrego, Calcots Field in Trefedyryd, Maes y Wern, Penybryn, Erw Glomen, Alt Vawr in Peniarth and Teitref, and several other properties, 1768, followed by successive assignments, a further mortgage, and releases by Ann, Hawley, Mary Esdaile, Frances Humphreys and Lucy Humphreys, daughters of William Humphreys the elder, of legacies received under their father’s will, 1787-1795; deeds by John Humphreys and the mortgagees and trustees, for the sale of Pentrego and Maes y Wern to Thomas Morris 1795, which the latter mortgaged to Edward Edwards, Archdeacon of Brecon, 1795; and copies of the wills of Robert Phillips of Shrewsbury, 1735, William Humphreys, 1772, his son William Humphreys, 1781, Jenkin Parry of Main, 1787, and Powel Parry of Overton, Flintshire, 1791.

Title deeds relating to properties in the township of Peniarth in the parish of Meifod, Montgomeryshire, and in Mathrafal, parish of Llangynyw, 1694-1815. The earliest is an assignment by David Jones of Bringlas and Ales his wife (nee Vaughan) to John Harris of Yockleton, Salop, of a judgement obtained in 1673 against David Evans of Mathrafal, 1694. The majority of the deeds relate to John David ap Humphrey’s house in Peniarth and they include: a deed declaring uses of a fine, 1708; a mortgage by John David ap Humphrey and Katherine his wife to Richard Derwas vicar of Meifod, 1721; the post-nuptial settlement of John David ap Humphrey of Peniarth and Katherine his wife, 1721; assignments of the mortgage from the Derwas family, with consent of Humphrey Williams and Sarah his wife, niece and heir of John David ap Humphrey, and their sons, David, William and Humphrey, to Sinah Price of Garth, 1754, then to William Williams of Coedtalog and Humphrey Morris of Peniarth, incorporating a settlement of the Williams family estate, 1759, then to William Moreton of Main, 1765, 1769, and to Evan Davies of Llanfihangel, 1772; the will of David Evans of Gwenynog in the parish of Llanfair Caereinion, 1763, proved 1767; a deed by Anne Williams and her son David to lead uses of a recovery, 1778; an agreement and deeds by David Williams and his mortgagee to Thomas Owen of Mathrafal for purchase of the property, 1796-1797; an abstract of title of Thomas Owen Jones (Watermark 1810); articles of agreement, correspondence and a conveyance by Thomas Owen Jones of Bishopsgate Street and his bankers to Charles Watkin Williams Wynn of the farm called Mathrafal or New Bridges, Llangynyw, and Gelly in the township of Peniarth and assignments of the terms of years to new trustees, 1813-1814. Other items comprise an Act for enclosing lands in the manor of Llanfyllin and Mechain Uwchcoed (printed), with commissioners’ receipts for lots purchased by Charles Watkin Williams Wynn and Thomas Owen on the commons of Allt-yr-Anchor, Rhos y Glascoed and Rhosfawr, 1813-1815; a lease by John Beck of Shrewsbury to vest possession of Rhosfawr in Charles Watkin Williams Wynn, 1803; and a conveyance by Earl Temple to Sir Watkin Williams Wynn and Charles Watkin Williams Wynn of a cottage in Bakers Lane, Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire, 1804.

Title deeds relating to Peniarth Farm in the parish of Meifod, Montgomeryshire, 1800-1812. They comprise a mortgage by Rev. Thomas John Davies of Trewylan to Thomas Evans of Farchwel, 1800; an abstract of title of Rev. Thomas John Davies, 1732-1800 [compiled c. 1800]; a report by Humphrey Jones of Meifod to Charles Watkin Williams Wynn on the condition of the property and a valuation of the timber, 1810; an agreement for the purchase, 1812; an assignment by Mary Evans, widow and administratrix of Thomas Evans, to William Parry Richards, of the term comprised in the mortgage, in trust for Charles Watkin Williams Wynn 1812; and the conveyance by Rev. Thomas John Davies to Charles Watkin Williams Wynn and his trustee, 1812.
