Accounts of the registry office for the archdeaconry of Brecon between 4 Oct. 1695 and 17 Feb. 1707/8, being returns by the deputies of Robert Lucy, who was Adam Ottley's predecessor as registrar for the diocese of St David's, of licences, administrations and other instruments issued out of the office, with some accounts of expenses, especially in the returns of David Thomas who deducts sums in respect of payments for his master, for tobacco, wines, etc. No. 640 is an account of expenses on a journey to London in 1695. The accounts down to 1700 are returned by David Thomas and John Hughes, and after that year new names appear - Hurdman, Harris and Lewis. The returns are made on slips of paper several times a month and particulars are generally given of the purpose of the licences and of the parties to whom they are issued. There are several gaps, the largest being between 1702 and 1705. The papers are arranged in a chronological order.
