I help W[illiam] Jones against D[ ] P[ ] but Ellis D is 75 per cent charlatan - & that is too high a percentage of adulteration even for public life'. Davies is also 'a refractory one' who 'would give trouble for purposes of self advertisement'. Has been ordered by the Cabinet to speak on Tuesday on the Education Bill.
