Written at House of Commons. Is to meet Clifton to discuss the nomenclature of the firm, and will insist on 'Lloyd George & Co'. Is depressed by Parnell's refusal to go. Has been informed by Stuart Rendel that Gladstone is 'very downhearted'. Parnell is 'a terrible man'.
