Affidavit of Griffith Owen of Towyn, co. Mer., gent., who deposed that he came to Nannau as a harper in 1761 and stayed there for six years, that on the death of the heiress he removed with Mr Gwynn to Taliaris, co. Carm., where he stayed six years, that in Aug. or Sept. 1773 he became harper to Henry Arthur Corbet of Ynysmaengwyn who died without male issue, that he was succeeded to the purchased estate by his only daughter; that Edward Maurice of Lloran, esq., eldest brother of H.A.C. succeeded to the estate, who assumed the name Corbet and died in 1820 leaving only two dau's, that on his death the estate devolved on Athelstan Corbet, that Pryce Maurice of Lloran, father of Edward Corbet and H.A.C. died in 1778, that the Rev. Pryce Maurice, second son of P.M. died at Towyn in 1803 leaving issue, Edward Maurice the eldest son who never married, Pryce Maurice, the second son, who died unmarried in 1819 and Athelstan Corbet (then Maurice).

Affidavit of Isaac Gilbertson of Machynlleth, co. Mont., gent., that he found in the parish church of Llanbardarn Fawr, co. Card., a monument to the memory of the Rev. William Powell, LL.D., of Nanteos who died on 21 Dec. 1780 and to his wiife Elizabeth, daughter of Athelstan Owen of Rhiwsaeson, co. Mont., esq., and Mrs Ann Corbet of Ynysymaengwyn.

Prestattyn so far as the same adjoins t. Nant, [p. Meliden]. Recites that various disputes have arisen between the prior owners of the said man. and of certain estates adjoining in t. Nant, that various disputes now subsist between 1 and 2 and that in order to end the same 1 and 2 have this day 'perambulated and minutely investigated' the boundary of the said man. Endorsed on DF603: fees for engrossment, 18 April 1793. Drafts.

Agreement between 1 and 2: (i) 2 agrees that his base son by Jonet verch David called John ap Ieuan shall marry Margaret, daughter and heiress apparent of 1 when she is 13 years old or, in the event of her refusal, Jane Nanney, base daughter of 1 by Catherin verch Edward Owen when she is 13 years old, or, in the event of her refusal, Ellen Nanney, another base daughter of 1 by the said Catherine verch Edward Owen; (ii) if any of the above mentioned marriages should take place and upon payment of £200 to 2 he will assure m's called Tythyn Mawr and Tower Maen, p. Trausvynyth, to the use of such of his dau's as should marry the said John ap Ieuan for life and thereafter to her eldest son by the said John; (iii) if the wife of the said John should die without issue the said m's should remain vested in fee simple in the said John unless 2 redeemed the same by the payment of £200. Mer., that there shall be no survivorship in the said estate and that the survivor shall stand seized of the said estate to the uses 1 and Evan Anwill do now stand and that neither 1 or 2 would convey or alien any of the estate without the consent of the other and that each will pay a moiety of £209 due to Charles Whitmore of Balmes, esq.
