Articles Of Agreement relating to the proposed purchase and sale of the lands of 1 which he mortgaged to Edward Morice, dec., that (i) if 2 shall obtain the fee simple and reversion of the said lands he will pay 1 £7 on 1 May next, £7 on 30 Nov. next, £2 within a year of obtaining the fee simple, £2 within two years of obtaining the same, £2 within two years to Maurice ap Reignald son in law of 1, and £3 to 1 within 21/2 years; (ii) if 2 shall happen to loose the fee simple 2 shall repay the said sums to 1 and if the fee simple is adjudged in common law against 2 and contrary to the last will of the said Edward Morice then 1 shall enter into a bond in £40 for the repayment of the said sums; and (iii) 1 to deliver three bonds in £40 each wherein the said Edward Morice and Thomas Morice, also dec., stood bound to 1, two of which are to be cancelled by 2 and should 2 obtain the fee simple according to the last will of the said Edward Morice he shall return the bond wherein the day of payment is mentioned in the condition thereof so that 1 may recover £40 against Blanch Morice or anyone else that shall obtain the fee simple.
