Aug. Hall, Llanover, to Taliesin Ab Iolo, Merthyr Tydfil. The reason for her silence - she has been very ill and has just returned from (?) Aberayron. She will send him medicine from London. Thanking him for the excellent verses on an unworthy subject. 'Aneurin's MSS are sent to Town & we expect to get them soon'.

Aug. Hall, Llanover, to Taliesin Ab Iolo, Merthyr Tydfil. He will be happy to see by the enclosed that the MS he wants is not lost. Asking him to let her know what he thinks about the MS at Mr Pennant's. The enclosure referred to is a note written by [Aneurin] Owen, Caernarvon, to Lady Hall, 24 Feb. 1841.

Aug. Hall, Llanover, to Taliesin Ab Iolo, Merthyr Tydfil. Thanking him for his enclosure. The 'englynion' are doubtless the Cowydd she named to Sir Samuel.

Aug. Hall to [Taliesin Williams]. Thanking him for his letter. She encloses the lost treasure. Has he any objection to the information about the Saints Gofer, &c., being given (as from him) in a description of the place with engravings now preparing for publication?

Aug. Hall, Llanover, to [Taliesin Williams]. Mr Price and Mr Rees. She was at Llandovery about a fortnight ago and is much alarmed at the backward state of the addressee's volume.

A. H. to Taliesin Ab Iolo, Merthyr Tydfil. Since writing the enclosed she has looked hastily in the Library and sees under names of Churches in Monmouthshire Llan hênwg.

Aug. Hall, 24 Portman Square, to [Taliesin Williams]. Is extremely alarmed at not having received any answer to her two former letters.

Aug. Hall, Llanover, to [Taliesin Williams]. His health - Mr Rees's report. She assures him he is mistaken about the Liber Ll: and begs he will not consider that she speaks unfeelingly from any disbelief of his illness, but she did and does consider that he is bound in justice to the Society to save it from further loss by some plan such as she suggested, though most unsatisfactory. Explaining her sentence in allusion to leaving Merthyr. She has sent his letter on to Mr Rees, but it is sadly perplexing to know what to do. She is very glad to hear that he is going to Aberpergwm for a little change.

A. H., 24 Portman Square, London, to Taliesin Ab Iolo, Merthyr Tydfil. Telling him not to write a long letter, but just to let her know what he means to say about Govor. Why she is so anxious about this - she wants Sir Benj. to adopt the o in spelling the place, and she cannot accomplish this as yet. Till his book is out they will not use the o.

A. H., Llanover, to Taliesin Ab Iolo, Merthyr Tydfil. She will answer his remarks categorically (?concerning the Society's subjects and prizes). Mr Johnes's Essay is published and she has a spare copy (for the addressee). The author of the successful Essay is also here - Mr Meyer - and she wants him to make the addressee's acquaintance. He is preparing for the press also.

Aug. Hall to Taliesin ab Iolo, Merthyr Tydfil. The enclosed has been delayed on the road - she is requested to forward it without delay. Enclosure wanting.

A. H., Llanover, to Taliesin Ab Iolo, Merthyr Tydfil. Asking him to send her immediately the sheet of translation of Achau Saint which he has completed. She deeply regrets the cause of his having been obliged to relinquish the work, etc. She wishes he would give himself a real holiday.

Draft (in pencil) of some of the verses contained in No. 29a. On the dorse is the following note: 'Mr John Williams Dyffryn isaf, gerllaw'r Rhyd Helyg, yn agos i'r Nant Garw, Brut y Brenhinoedd gydag ef, eiddo Dafydd Morgan o Aberdâr'.

Notice from Fras. Taynton to Edward William that by the orders of William Skynner he has distrained the goods and chattels mentioned (?inventory incomplete) for the sum of £18-18-0, being rent and arrears of rent due to the said William Skynner for a messuage and premises situate in the parish of Cowbridge, co. Glamorgan. On the dorse is some music written in the hand of Iolo Morganwg.

Copy of the will and codicil of John Williams of the parish of St Catharine in the county of Middlesex in the Island of Jamaica, mason, proved 25 Feb. 1804, and of the Inventory of his estate, prized 16 July 1804. Will and codicil dated 12 Feb. 1801 and 18 Nov. 1801 respectively. Endorsed: 'Copy of my Brother John's Will.' (In the autograph of E. W. throughout).

Notice of subpoena to Edward Williams and others (not named) to appear at the next Quarter Sessions at Cowbridge, co. Glamorgan, to testify on the part of the respondents in an appeal between Maria Verity of the town of Cowbridge, appellant, and the Churchwarden and Overseers of the said town, respondents, being an appeal against the poor rates for the said town.

Summons to Tallyessen [sic] Williams and John Evans to appear at next County Court for co. Glamorgan at Cowbridge on Sept. 20 to testify the truth in a cause between Henry Rowland, plaintiff, and David Yorath, defendant, on the part of the defendant. On the dorse is a note (crossed out) beginning 'Dere Gwen a Welsh Tune called also Rhobin o'r coed ...'.
