He has been informed of a suitable investment at 5% for the £10,000 (due to be repaid by the Neath Vale Railway Co.) and requires to know how soon it can be repaid; he would however prefer to leave it with the railway if 5% can be obtained on the money. [Vide Letter 896].

Concerning the £10,000 lent to the Vale of Neath Railway Co., the trustees of the £10,000, and the writer's desire to invest the money where there is no risk, to which end recipient is asked to enquire about the Oswestry & Ellesmere-Whitchurch Line, controlled by Mr Savin.
