Part of Llysdinam Estate Records,
Letters from a close friend describing her life and that of her family and their mutual friends in Central Europe. She writes of social events, novels she had read - Cooper's 'Last of the Mohicans' had been read to them in German translation - poems such as that on the death of the Princess Charlotte, and music - the young Chopin had delighted them one evening. Their guests included Lord and Lady Gower and Prince Leopold of Coburg who had recommended some novels. There is a note in French from Helene added to the first letter.
