Papers, 1974-2003, relating to Pwllfanogl including a copy of a photograph showing employees of the Britannia Slate Works, c. 1890; an undated typewritten list of buildings and dwellings at Pwllfanogl and their occupants; and a typescript list, with some additions in Kyffin Williams's hand, of birds observed at Pwllfanogl, 1974. Also included is a paper by D. C. Jones entitled 'The Pwll Fanog Slate Wreck - Industrial Archaeology under the Sea', which contains notes on the reverse in Kyffin Williams's hand in preparation for a talk on portrait painters together with a short verse.

Davies (Llanfair Pwllgwyngyll, 1990), signed by the author, together with a manuscript review of the book either by Gruffydd Parry himself or translated by him. Also included is a copy of O Ben dwy bont, by E. W. Davies (Llanfair Pwllgwyngyll, 1988), annotated in pencil by the poet, with a typescript of the englyn, 'Y ci defaid (darlun Kyffin Williams)', January 1989.

Patagonia,

Autograph first draft, together with mostly incomplete typescript copies containing manuscript corrections and amendments, of an unpublished book, [1969]-1970, recounting the author's visit to Patagonia, November 1968 - February 1969. Typescripts and folders entitled 'Untitled book on Patagonia' and 'The Welsh in Patagonia'. Parts of this draft were published as 'An Artist in Welsh Patagonia', in The Anglo-Welsh Review, vol. 18, no. 42 (1970), pp. 5-32. In addition, the chapters relating to Patagonia in his book A wider sky (Llandysul, 1991), appear to have been based on this work. An ink sketch of a side profile of a head, signed by Kyffin Williams, is included on the reverse of p. 103 of the ink draft.

Patagonia visit,

Papers, 1967-1969, mainly comprising travel documents and correspondence, relating to Kyffin Williams's visit to Patagonia. Also included are typescript notes relating to Patagonia, [?1961x1962], belonging to John Ormond and used by him in preparation for his visit to the region to film 'The desert and the dream' (1962). These notes, which include an annotated script of the film, appear to have been given to Kyffin Williams, together with a holograph poem by John Ormond, 'Instruction to settlers', 1967, prior to his trip. In addition, the file includes a copy of the journal Argentina, vol. 4, no. 4 (April 1963), which contains an article entitled 'The desert and the dream'; a list of contacts in Patagonia, [1968], prepared by Valmai Jones in readiness for Kyffin Williams's visit; typescript questions and answers prepared before, or possibly at the beginning of, his visit; and a catalogue of the 'Photographs of Patagonia' exhibition at Oriel Môn, 1982, with photocopies of drawings contained in an album. The file also contains a photocopy of the book Tan tro nesaf by Gareth Alban Davies (Llandysul, 1976), which includes the titles of pictures by Kyffin Williams to be inserted in the work.

Owen Richard Inglis Williams,

Papers, 1916-1982, relating to Kyffin Williams's elder brother, Owen Richard Inglis Williams (also known as 'Dick'), mostly comprising letters from him to his family, [1925]-1961. The outlines of four birds heads, possibly ducks, are sketched in pencil on the reverse of an envelope accompanying a letter dated 16 March 1941. Side profiles of two heads, and doodles, are sketched in black biro on the reverse of a letter dated 8 December 1957.

116 personal photographs in the form of portraits of, and photographs by Richard, the elder brother of JKW (4684/1-12). Many of these are snapshots from the Middle East taken whilst on National Service (4684/13-108) - nos. 22-28 were in an envelope marked 'Fayid'. Also included is Jesus College Cricket XI, 1937. Nos. 117-124 are modern prints of views in Athens produced at NLW from negatives believed to be by ORI Williams.
