The carcasses of two lambs being barbecued. This would appear to be the barbecue (or essado) mentioned by KW on p 182 of 'A Wider Sky' (Gomer, 1991). This took place at the residence of Don Diego Neill, Intendente of Los Alerces National Park on Christmas Day 1968.
Leaves and flowers of a member of the mallow family. On p 176 of 'A Wider Sky' (Gomer, 1991) KW talks of "... malva, a sort of mallow that invaded the gardens of Trevelin."
A middle aged farmer astride a dark bay horse. On the ground next to him is a sheepdog. Snow capped peaks can be seen in the distance. Slide 4690/84 is another slide of the same farmer.
