Owen Richard Inglis Williams,

Papers, 1916-1982, relating to Kyffin Williams's elder brother, Owen Richard Inglis Williams (also known as 'Dick'), mostly comprising letters from him to his family, [1925]-1961. The outlines of four birds heads, possibly ducks, are sketched in pencil on the reverse of an envelope accompanying a letter dated 16 March 1941. Side profiles of two heads, and doodles, are sketched in black biro on the reverse of a letter dated 8 December 1957.

Miscellaneous family papers,

Miscellaneous papers and printed items, 1840-2006, relating to, and accumulated by, various family members. The file includes a transcript of diary entries by Francis Louisa Brown, companion to Frances Williams, during the family's visit to London in 1840; a copy of J. E. Griffith, Pedigrees of Anglesey and Carnarvonshire families (Horncastle, 1914), annotated by Kyffin Williams; a typescript and booklet, 1978, containing the order of service of thanksgiving and re-dedication commemorating the 150th anniversary of the first Anglesey lifeboat, with the first reading by Kyffin Williams; and genealogical notes; together with three incomplete sheets of Penny Red and Penny Venetian Red stamps, postmarked 1866-1881, which appear to have been collected by a family member.

Miscellaneous papers comprising manuscript, typescript and printed material, 1796-2007, accumulated by Kyffin Williams and other family members. The papers include press cuttings, 1852-1998; photocopies of extracts from books and journals published between 1782 and 2002; prospectuses for books published by Gwasg Gregynog, 2003-2007, together with a copy of A selection of weather signs, 1981; an undated Caseg Press greetings card, entitled 'The white thorn'; funeral service leaflets and tributes, 1917-1994; a broadside listing performances at the Theatre-Royal, Liverpool, 1838; and various maps, 1925-1998. A small group of papers, 1796-2006, relating to various hunts is included in the folder of manuscript and typescript material, and a copy of Orinda by R. T. Jenkins (Cardiff, 1943), contains occasional annotations and pencil sketches.

Includes Kyffin attending book launches, exhibition openings, interior of galleries showing his work and numerous photos presumed gifted to Kyffin by well wishers.

63 personal & professional photographs by JKW of Welsh views, mainly black and white. Some may have been used as aides de memoire for later paintings. Also present are a small number of b&w prints of the Lake District from ca. 1960 and a large format card mounted photo ca. 1890 showing a view of the Menai Straits captioned 'Home of Thomas Williams & family View from Craig-y-don, Anglesey' by Thos. Mills, Bangor.
