[A Wider Sky]

A thin strip of land at the very bottom of the photograph emphasises the vastness of the empty sky above.

[Horses in a corral]

This and 4689/228 may be from the location mentioned on p170 of 'A Wider Sky' (Gomer 1991) "On we galloped to the foothills of the Cordillera to a corral where stallions fought over the mares."

The artists horse with drawings tied to a saddle

A dark bay and a saddled chestnut horse tethered to a pole. Behind them is a hillside scattered with remains of tree stumps. This photograph fits the description on page 170 of 'A Wider Sky (Gomer 1991) "...up the cliff again, past the stumps of trees that had been snapped in the ferocious winds..."

[Hacienda]

View of a modern hacienda style house on raised ground, possibly 'Pennant'.

[Street, probably Trevelin]

A wide street with single storey brick buildings on the left hand side and mountains in the distance. As the following frame in this film is definitely a view in Trevelin it is highly likely that this view too is Trevelin.

[Field, barn & poplars]

In the foreground a recently tilled field at the far end of which is a barn and a stand of poplars. More poplars are in the immediate foreground shading the right of the picture. In the far distance are snow-dusted peaks.

[Desert landscape]

In the foreground thorn bushes behind which is a steep, bare hillside with an overhanging layer of more resistant limestone forming a small cliff.

[Vegetation]

Bushes at the side of the road to Lle Cul. Taken from the same place as 4689/265 & 4689/266.
