Barddoniaeth Huw Morys, etc.

A collection of 'cerddi', 'carolau', etc. by Hugh Morris, together with a 'cerdd' by Huw Jones, Llangwm, a 'cerdd' by the Reverend Walter Davies ['Gwallter Mechain'], anonymous 'englynion, 'carolau' and some financial accounts, 1805 and undated. The volume is in the hand of Huw Jones, Llangwm, with a few later additions by Elizabeth Maurice and by Mary Richards, Darowen. It belonged to Thomas Powel, 1804, and Martha Powel, 1805, and also bears the names of Henry Powel, 1756, John Jones, carpenter, Pentregayr [Oswestry] and Martha Edwards.

A composite volume, in four sections, containing annotated transcripts of 'cywyddau' and 'englynion' by Sion Philyp, Wm. Lleyn, Robert Hughes (Ceint bach, 'Rhobyn Ddu Ieuaf o Fon'), Meredydd ab Rhys, Syr Dafydd Trefor, Wm. Wynne ('person Llangynhafal'), [Evan Prichard (Richard)] 'I[euan] Lleyn' ('Ifan Bryncroes'), 'W. Eryri', Ellis Roberts, and Rhys Jones; 'carolau', 'cerddi', 'penillion', etc. in free metres by Lewis Owen, Lewis Morris, Edward Morris, Hugh Roberts, Dafydd Sion James (Dafydd Jones) ('Bookbinder o'r Penrhyn Deudraeth Y Meirion'), Ellis Roberts, Tho. Edwards, Hugh Jones ('o Langwm'), John Thomas ('o Bentre Foelas'), Rice Hughes ('o Ddinam'), Thomas Jones, Robert William, Edward Williams ('o Blwy Gwyddelwern'), Robert Lloyd, Richard Jones, Rhys Jones, and Evan James, and anonymous compositions; and incomplete interludes entitled ['Squire Gaulove a Clarinda'] by John Kadwalader and ['Y Brenin Dafydd a Gwraig Urias'] by [Hugh Jones and John Cadwaladr]. The respective sections are in the hands of Evan Prichard ('Ieuan Lleyn') (written at Llangian, Lleyn, 23-24 January 1797), David Jones ('Dewi Fardd'), Trefriw, Henry Par[r]y, Brynllech [Llanuwchllyn], and [ ] Roberts, Ty du, Parc [Llanycil].
