Poetry and notes,

A notebook probably in the autograph of the Reverend Evan Gurnos Jones ('Gurnos'; 1840-1903) containing press cuttings giving the substance of an address by J. B. Gough at a temperance meeting in Cardiff, pasted over part of a poem (written in pencil) entitled 'Merch Cae'r Melwr (Rhiangerdd)'; 'Nodiadau or Awdl y Beibl' [cf. the explanatory notes printed at the end of Awdl y Beibl, buddugol yn Eisteddfod Freiniol Bangor, 1874 (Caernarfon: H. Humphreys, [1875])]; verses in pencil headed 'Harri Bach Plas Llangefni'; and an outline of a lecture on temperance; etc. At the reverse end are more press cuttings and notes on temperance and 'englynion' between 'Gurnos' and [T. E. Watkins] 'Eiddil Ifor'.
