A notebook in the hand of Jonathan Owain Reynolds ('Nathan Dyfed'; 1814-91), containing copiously annotated examples of doggerel verse submitted by Morgan Manner (Mainwaring) ('Bardd y Dwr') to mock literary competitions organised by the young men of Merthyr Tudful annually on New Year's Day, and transcripts of verses by Glamorgan bards, such as Rhys Hywel Rhys, Blaen-y-glais, Y Faenor, Thomas Dafydd Miles, Dyffryn, Aberdâr, Emwnt Rhys, 'Nathan Dyfed', Watkin Dafydd ('Y Tribanwr'), the Reverend Dafydd Saunders, Merthyr, etc.
