Eleanora or Ellen Powell, his mother,

Letter from Calais. The iniquities of Richardes of Penglais and the likelihood that he and Anne will be separated. The lawsuit with Adams the Coachmaker. Hears she has lost the case and if money not paid immediately she'll be put in a French gaol. Appeals to W. G. Cherry (1128).

Eleanora or Ellen Powell, his mother,

Copy of death certificate of Eleanora Powell (née Corbet) at Calais. Mistake in the certificate naming W. E. Powell as her husband instead of Thomas, with a note overleaf by George Stubbs mentioning mistake which could not be rectified in France, but he was prepared to add a note of explanation.

[Lord] Sidmouth. Whitehall,

An invitation to attend at Carlton House to be sworn in as Lord Lieutenant of Cardiganshire and T. R. P. Wagner as 2nd Lieutenant in Cardiganshire.

J. Vaughan, Crosswood,

Mr Barber thinks he can manage both Nanteos and Crosswood, and Mr Edwards and Mr Murray agree, but he will do nothing before he hears from WEP.

George Warbrick, Ty'n-rhyd,

Has taken a load of ore to Liverpool, and made purchases of timber and glass etc 'for Mrs P's house'. Shipping of grain from Liverpool and worry about insurance for the vessel, shameful conduct of Foster who has been dismissed.

George Warbrick, Ty'n-rhyd,

Mr Cherry's anger, and his own disappointment at the rumour that Lozon and James Hughes are to take over management of his affairs after he has worked so conscientiously. Advises him to pay for the carriage in two instalments, and to keep control of his affairs in his own hands.
