Letter from Calais. The iniquities of Richardes of Penglais and the likelihood that he and Anne will be separated. The lawsuit with Adams the Coachmaker. Hears she has lost the case and if money not paid immediately she'll be put in a French gaol. Appeals to W. G. Cherry (1128).

Copy of death certificate of Eleanora Powell (née Corbet) at Calais. Mistake in the certificate naming W. E. Powell as her husband instead of Thomas, with a note overleaf by George Stubbs mentioning mistake which could not be rectified in France, but he was prepared to add a note of explanation.
