The bad condition of a stretch of road; reply to a letter of complaint of damage to banks, fences, drains and a gate at Bach-y-rhew and Pen-y-graig and report that damage made good; a notice to cut or trim certain dangerous or overhanging trees along a public road, request for permission to replace length of hedge south of Rhydyfelin Bridge to improve visibility, with draft answer giving permission on back.

A survey of estate finances; explains Succession and Estate and Settlement Estate duty; costs of appointing new trustees; asks that he should continue to act as solicitor as agreed with Mr P when Geddes Smith was employed. Copy of letter from J. H. Cobb to T. P. Lewis saying that Mrs P. during her husband's absence seems to have taken legal matters out of his hands and put them in hands of Geddes-Smith. Has she considered effect of this on mortgage which he has continued to arrange, and he one of Trustees. He has been assured Geddes Smith was to act as agent only. Says his brother, K. R. Cobb, was killed at Gallipoli; suggests Mr P. should execute Power of Attorney should he go abroad; forwarding deeds and estate papers to Smith, Davies and Co.

Advises her to accept 'Terms of Settlement' or she will involve herself in great expense; the land wanted by Andreas Jones with plan; the notice given by press (cutting enclosed) to Nanteos Cup might cause the claimants to ask for valuation of contents of the house; bank refusal to advance loan on Nanteos security and relevant correspondence.

The letting of 3 Laura Place; the fence erected around part of Doledau Common at Parc-y-llyn, and he had agreed it should remain provided a nominal rent paid to Nanteos in recognition of her rights as Lord of the Manor; a dispute about erecting a doorway at Ardwyn, Llanfarian which opened into Pen-y-graig field.
