Probate (copy) Of The Will of Griffith Wynne of Taltreyddyn, co. Mer., esq.,. Testator devises:. To Dame Margaret Owen of Porkington, co. Salop., widow and Richard Vaughan of Corse y Gedol, esq., Edward Price of Dolgelley, esq., and Robert Wynne of Taltreuddyn, gent., all of co. Mer., the capital m. and demesne lands called Llanvair otherwise Plas yn Llanvair in Llanvair Isgaer and messuages and lands in Llanvairisgaer, Botandreg and Dinorwick, co. Caern., for 21 years in trust to use the profits to provide dowries for-Elizabeth and Jane Wynne, daughters of Griffith Wynne; but if William Wynne, the testator's s., on attaining his majority shall make a deed and fulfil its covenants, as was agreed in a previous deed, the will to be nullified. Testator names his trustees executors, in default of performance of the deed by his son Will dated 20 April, 1721 Recital of deeds of 7 Aug., 1695 (no. D844) 29 Aug., 1718 (no. D858). Endorsed with note of grant of grant of probate to Robert Wynne.

  1. Ellin Parry of Pen-arth, co. Caern., widow. 2. William Wynne of Llanfair, esq.,. Articles Of Agreement to the effect that:. 1) 2 Is to convey his lands in counties Caern., and Ang., to certain uses, viz. his lands in co. Caern., to the use of himself and Jane, his wife, daughter of 1 for their lives and of his lands in co. Mer., part to be to the use of 2 for his life, and certain specified lands to the use of trustees for 21 years after the death of 2, for them to dispose half the rents for the benefit of the younger children of 2, as he shall appoint in his will, and the other half for paying the debts of 2. Thereafter, all the estate to pass to the issue male and female of 2. 2) 1 To pay £9000, the marriage portion of Jane, her daughter, wife of 2, to trustees in trust for Elizabeth and Jane Wynne, sisters of 2, as their marriage portions, and until their marriages, the interest therefrom to be used for their maintenance. Caern., a capital m., and demesne lands called Tally-Treyddin-fawr in p. Llanvair, messuages and lands called Tall-y Treyddin-Bach, Tir-bach, Pen-y-Bryn, Pant-Gwynne, Ty-yn-y-Coed and Hen Efel, in p. Llanenddwyn, and other properties in the parishes-of Llanvair and Llanenddwyn, co. Mer.; and a capital m., and demesne lands called Llwyn-Griffry and messuages and lands called Tythyn-y-Velyn, Y-Tu-yn-nhal-y-Bont and Melyn-y-Coed in p. Llanddwywey, messuages and lands called Eythyn-fynydd, Bodwyddill, Varch-ynys and Gwastad-Agnes in p. Llanaber and other messuages and lands in Llanddwywey and Llanaber, co. Mer., to uses specified (Tenants named). Recital of a deed of 13 Dec., 1723 (no. D866). Consideration: £900.

Recital of deeds of 7 Aug., 1695 (no. D844) and 11 Dec., 1708, (no. D854) and the will of Griffith Wynne, father of 1, dated 20 April, 1721 (no. D860). Endorsed with a note of receipt for £450. Attached is a note of even date, written by Catherine Nanney of Nanney, widow, acknowledging receipt of a bond and promising to deliver it to William Wynne on demand. The bond, in £1,000, is made by Elizabeth Wynne, spinster, Edward Price, esq., and Robert Wynne, gent., to William Wynne, esq., and the condition is that Jane Wynne of Taltreyddyn, an infant shall, upon attaining the age of 21 years, grant a release to and fulfil such other acts as are required for William Wynne.
