Probate Of The Will (dated 31 Oct., 1666) of Hugh Griffith of Troye, co. Mon., gent. Testator bequeaths:. To his d. Anne, wife of Edmond Travers, gent., 40s. To his d. Mary, sums of £20 and £300, and a further sum of £220, half to be paid within a year of the testator's death and the other half a year later. In case of default of payment he devises to the use of Mary Griffith his tmt. and lands called Cwm Hister in the tenure of his nephew, Morgan Griffith, gent., p. Edern, and a tmt. and lands called Cwm in the tenure of Robert ap. Thomas, p. Clynocke, co. Caern. to his sister Catherine, 40s., to his sisters Mary, Lettice and ?Gwen, 10s. each to the s: and 4 daughters of his brother, Herbert Griffith, 40s. each the residue to his s., Francis Griffith Testator appoints his s., Francis Griffith his executor, and William Griffith, esq. and Morgan Griffith, the testator's nephew, overseers, for which he bequeaths 20s. each to the latter two.
