Aberystwyth Mutual Ship Insurance Society v. Humphreys,

Original bundle of papers in a case in the Queen's Bench between the society and Edward Humphreys of Aberystwyth, the owner of the 'Hannah' and the 'Jane', for his failure to pay £43 15s., his portion of a call made by the society on its members in Dec. 1879. The papers include a balance sheet of the Aberystwyth Mutual Ship Assurance Association for the year ending Dec. 1879.

Original bundle of papers, mainly 1852-1853, relating to the establishment of the society, including a schedule of Aberystwyth shipowners (101 names) agreeing to form a society with articles of partnership similar to those of the Porthmadog club, Jan. 1852; draft manuscript and printed 'Abstract of the deed of settlement of the Aberystwyth Mutual Ship Insurance Society', 1852-1853; certificate of provisional registration by the registrar of joint stock companies, April 1853. 'Abstract of the deed of settlement of the Portmadoc Mutual Ship Insurance Society' (Caernarfon, c.1841), and draft model insurance policy of the Porthmadog society, Jan. 1841.

Original bundle of deeds, correspondence and receipts relating to Aberystwyth Post Office, previously no's 8 and 10 Great Darkgate Street, and to five dwelling houses up to which the Post Office extended called Chalybeate Court, the property of Daniel Thomas of Little Darkgate Street, draper, including tenders for building an extension to the office, 1913. Original label marked 'Post Office documents'.
