Deeds and documents relating to the Barlow family of p. Iver, mainly comprising deeds relating to premises in the manor and parish of Iver, 1805-1861, and the following probate records: probate of will (dated 1820) of Robert Barlow of Iver, gent., 1823 (includes a bequest of shares in the Kennat & Avon canal), incomplete will of Benjamin Barlow of the same, 1869, and probate of will of Clara Louisa Barlow of West Hill Budleigh Salterton, Devon, 1909 (appoints Susan Elizabeth Lewis and the Rev. Evan Felix Lewis as trustees, and devises premises in West Hill Budleigh Salterton and Iver to SEL, and the residue of her estate to SEL, EFL and Jane Mathias).

Original bundle of papers relating to a case in Chancery between Osman Barrett (plaintiff) and Lewis Hopkins Roberts and Richard Roberts of 34 Rheidol Terrace, Aberystwyth (defendants), 1880-1883, relating to alleged fraud and misrepresentation in inducing the plaintiff to take a lease in 1879 of a house, Plas Hendre, near Aberystwyth, whose particulars and state of repair were not as described. Also papers relating to a case in the Queen's Bench between Lewis Hopkins Roberts and Richard Roberts (plaintiffs) and Thomas James (defendant) for damages for a diversion of a watercourse in Frongoch lands to raise and puddle clay, before it enters Cefnhendre Hall pond, 'polluted, much the same color as milk', 1880-1881.

Blackwall v. Blackwall,

Original bundle of papers in a case in the Queen's Bench between Elias Blackwall and William Blackwall of Noyadd, Cwmrheidol, his father, for £484 for arrears of wages as a farm servant, 1860-1882. The father declared his intention to counterclaim for the cost of the keep of a horse. The papers include an agreement (in Welsh) between William Blackwell and Elias Blackwell for a horse for a year for agricultural purposes, Nov. 1884.

Evan John Jenkins of Glan Dylan, Ynyslas (the borrower), to Colonel Sir George Fossett Roberts of Glanpaith, Rhydyfelin, and Algernon Cassan Roberts of Aberystwyth (the mortgagees), of £700 on Sea Shore (formerly Madeira House) and Nythfach (formerly No. 1 Ocean Houses) in the village of Borth, June 1936, in addition to existing mortgages on Glan Dylan and Coedfryn in the same village.
