Card. on Ernest Vaughan, 4th earl of Lisburne’s decision not to stand after the next dissolution of parliament, and the campaign to elect Arthur Henry Saunders Davies. Matthew Davies Williams was chairman of Saunders Davies’s Aberystwyth district committee. Also a few letters from William W. E. Wynne, MP, relating to Matthew Davies Williams’s vote in the co. Mer. election.

CM 22/68]; whether the lessees of Cwmystwyth lead mine can safely surrender a lease of the said mine granted to them for 21 years in 1848 and accept a new lease, 1860; and whether W.T.R. Powell can with safety maintain an action against his tenant David Davies, notice to quit having been served on the said David Davies only, even though the tenants are the said D.D. and his mother Mary Davies, 1866.
