Original bundle of deeds relating to Pantybarwn, p. Llangwyryfon, including a commitment by Charles Pryse to convey the equity of redemption of the whole of his estate to Rev. Thomas Davies for the principal money and interest he owes him, reserving only his dwellinghouse, garden and liberty to dig turf for the duration of his natural life, 1800; and a copy (1847) of the will (dated 1835) and probate (dated 1837) of Rev. Daniel Lewis of Pantybarwn, p. Llangwyryfon.

David Evans of Tanyrallt, p. Llangwyryfon,

Original bundle of papers relating to the estate of David Evans of Tanrallt, p. Llangwyryfon, comprising deeds and documents, 1697-1905, relating mainly to Llety Gwyn, previously called Tyddyn y Llety Du, p. Llanrhystud, and Tanyrallt aforesaid, including probate of the will (1797) of James Richards of Llety Gwyn, 1804; copy demise (1846) for 999 years of a piece of land with the [Congregationalist] meeting house thereon called Saron, p. Llangwryfon, 1903; probate of will (1856) of James James of Penlan, p. Llanrhystud, farmer, 1863, together with legacy and succession duty receipts, 1863; pre-nuptial settlement of Richard James of Penlan, farmer, and Jane Edwards of Tanyrallt, 1874; will of Evan Edwards of Tanyralt, 1883; inventory of the goods of the said Richard James, 1892; and bills and receipts, 1883-1910, and used cheques, 1910. The 1765-1766 papers involve an early example of a particularly Cardiganshire phenomenon, the London milkman. Bundle originally labelled 'David Edwards dec. Old deeds Tanyrallt Llangwyryfon'.

Richard Thomas of the Custom House, London,

Original bundle of deeds, mainly mortgages and assignments of mortgages, relating to messuages called Penycwm otherwise Erwwen, Bugeildy otherwise Cefn Gwyn, and Gwarycae, p's Llanddeiniol and Llangwryfon, purchased by Thomas Bonsall of Fronfraith in 1791, and including a pedigree (c.1600-c.1790) of Richard Thomas formerly of Penycwm and later of Bristol, tide surveyor and then of the Custom House, London, excise officer, c.1790.

Boultbee-Shatton estate,

Two original bundles of deeds mainly relating to m's and lands in p's Llanybydder, Pencarreg and Llanboidy, co. Carm., comprising (i) probate of the will (dated 1709) of Owen John of p. Tredreyr, co.Card., 1711; deeds mainly relating to m's and lands called Tyrymaes Issa (later called Maes issa) and Tyr y Maes Ycha otherwise Tyr y Maes Canol (Maes canol), p. Pencarreg, co. Carm., 1741-1823; and schedule (two copies) of the deeds in the two bundles, 1867; and (ii) deeds, 1745-1803, including pre-nuptial settlement of John Adams of Whitland, co. Carm., esq., and Elizabeth Lloyd, second daughter of Walter Lloyd of Peterwell, co. Card., esq., 1745; and lease and release by Abel Jenkins of New Inn, co. Mddx., gent., and John Adams of Peterwell, esq., to John Smith of p. St Clement Danes, co.. Mddx., gent., to create a tenant to the precipe of m's and lands in p's Llanddewi Felffre, co. Pemb., and Llanboidy, Llan-gain, Henllan Amgoed and Llangynin, co. Carm., including the cap. m. called Whitland, 1775. The deeds were delivered to Frederick Rowland Roberts of Aberystwyth, esq., on the authority of Thomas Lewis Lloyd, Thomas Cruttwell and John Boultbee, esqs, and Mrs W. J. Boultbee, 1867. Two further Boultbee deeds, found loose in the same box, have been added to bundle (ii): oath of John Boultbee, esq., for the performance of the office of keeper of the peace in co. Card., 1843; and bond in £500 by John Boultbee of Noyadd, esq., to Roderick Grimes of Aberystwyth, gent., to indemnify the latter, the stakeholder of the Gogerddan Stakes horse race, against claims of the other horse owners, 1845.

Original bundle of deeds relating to Cwmllechwedd and Havod Wennog, p. Lledrod, including the post-nuptial settlement of Morgan Hughes of p. Gwnnws, gent., and Gwen, his wife, 1744; the post-nuptial settlement of David Hughes of Wernfelen, gentleman, and Elizabeth his wife, 1770; probate of the wills of David Hughes of Cwmllechwedd, gent., 1862 (will dated 1851), and of Edward Davies of Maenarthur, p. Llanafan, farmer [who eventually inherited Cwmllechwedd under the will of David Hughes], 1879; sale catalogue of a 900 acre estate in p's Ystradmeurig, Lledrod, Llanrhystud, Llanddeiniol, Llanfihangel-y-Creuddyn and the town of Tregaron, ordered to be sold by the trustees of the 'Ystradmeurig Grammar School Foundation', 1893; and administration of Esther Davies of Wellington House, p. Original bundle of deeds relating to the estate of William Davies of Rhydlas Isa, p. Llanrhystud, particularly to messuages called Rhydlas Ucha formerly Tu yr Pant y ferry, Rhydlas Isa, Trawsnantbach otherwise Cwm, and Ty Newydd, part of which was encroached from the commons called Mynydd Bach, all p. Llanrhystud, including the pre-nuptial settlement of David Evans of p. Llanrhystud, gent., and Mary Lloyd, daughter of Hugh Lloyd of the same, gent., 1770; will of David Davies of Rhydlas Isa, farmer, 1840 (includes a bequest of £100 to his son John Davies should he return from America and a bequest to his son David of 'the shelf commonly called Dresser cam') and a conveyance of Tynewydd aforesaid to the said William Davies by John Rhystyd Davies of 4299 Berkeley Avenue, Chicago, USA, 1912. Deeds and papers relating to the Ystradmeurig school estate, including a grant by Edward Richard of Ystradmeurig, gent., to Charles, bishop of St Davids, and others, of m's and lands called Lle Tug Evan duy hên otherwise one sixth part of Mynachty Fynnon Oer or Mynachty hên, part of the possessions of the late monastery of Strata Florida, now commonly called Tivy manor or Tivy yn y Gwndwn, p. Lledrod, also Bryngarw, p. Lledrod, and Prignant, p.
