A copy of the customs of Hereford as newly written by John Chippenham, mayor of Hereford, in 1486, and exemplified by James Yayden in 1560 (ff. 1-17). This manuscript begins with the answer given to the town of Drusselan in the parts of Wales in the year of Henry son of Henry I [sic], and also contains statements made at the request of the burgesses of Kermerden, Herford and Kardyff. At the end of the volume is a list of the mayors of Hereford from 1383 to 1563 in the original hand, with additions in other hands to 1605 (ff. 18-19 verso).
