Account of Thomas Salysbury, bailiff of the commote of Collion, co. Denbigh. Farm of herbage of the Park, £14.14.4., part of £15 late received of Reece ap Hoell ap David and other tenants, for the farm of the herbage and pannage of the pasture of the Park of Clocannocke, with the frithe, thereto belonging, besides 5s. 8d. rent of two messuages and tenements and a cottage called the dayhouse late in the tenure of Robert Salysbury, by demise of 37 Henry VIII, inter alia sold to George Lossemor and John Strangman. Decay or default of rent. Rent allowes £4.5.10., part if the farm of the herbageof the Park of Clocaynocke charged above at £14.4.4. p.a., because Henry VII by charter of 1 May 1508 release the same. Note that the above charge and reprise are continued in every record until 1 and 2 Philip and Mary, in which account the whole is discharged by virtue of letters patent of Edward VI to William, Earl of Pembroke, 26 June 1552. No other friths in charge can be found within the said commote other than the frith called Llannynis, charged at 26s. 8d., p.a., which with the rent of the said account over and besides the said £14.14.4. discharged by the said grant has been yearly answered to the king and queen's use. Note that it agrees with the record and was examined by Robert Multon, deputy auditor there. Latin and English.

Denbigh, all messuages, all in co. Denbigh, all messuages, etc., in co. Merioneth, and a mill called Melyn y Wig, co. Merioneth. Now agreed that a tender of 2s. shall revoke the grant. Not executed.

Agreement between Robert Salesbury of Rug, esq., and John ap Gruffith Gogh of Carnynoved, yeoman, for the assurance to the latter of a parcel of land called tire tonney (5a.), a parcel called Maes y banadle (12a.), a tenement now in the holding of Thomas ap John ap John and 12a. belonging, and a tenement late in the holding of Edden' ap Ieuan Bady, deceased, and 8a. belonging, all in the township of Trevor, lordship of Ruthy, co. Denbigh, in exchange for a moiety of all the lands, tenenements, etc., late of the inheritance of Gruffith Goch, deceased, and now in the occupation of John ap Gruffith Goch, by the feoffment of the said Gruffith Goch in the town of Maesmonkymro in the lordship of Ruthyn. As the latter are greater in yearly value than the former Robert Salesbury is to pay John ap Gruffith £10. Endorsement: Enrolled of record at the General Sessions of the Peace held at Denbigh before the Justices in co. Denbigh and the Clerk of the Peace underwritten 21 January, 1543/4. Agreement between Robert Salisbury, son and heir of Pers Salisbury, esq., and Res ap Elyse ap Howell ap Res. Res has made a full sale and bargain with Robert of all his lands and tenements and his inheritance within the commote of Dynmaell and elsewhere in the lordships of Denbigh, Dyffryncloide, and Brompfilde as appears more fully in a deed made to Robert and his heirs. Robert and his heirs to find meat and drink, washing, and wringing, during Res' life and meat and drink for a servant waiting on him, also a chamber severally for him and his servant within the place of Rugge. So long as Res should not enter the said finding and chamber he shall levy and receive all the rents and profits of lands and tenements of which he was possessed to maintain his finding. Robert shall make a release to Reynalde ap Elyse and his heirs of a tenements and lands called Llech Veylyocke, which is rented at 7s. p.a. after the death of Res. Robert and his heirs shall pay to Res or his executors the sum of 20 marks, to be paid within 4 years. Robert and his heirs shall find a priest singing for the space of 12 months for the soul of Res after his decease. Robert and his heirs shall give yearly a portion in money or lands to the parson of Llanveangell in remembrance to pray for the soul of Res and his father and mother. Upon the performance of these covenants Res shall seal a deed of sale to Robert and his heirs upon all the lands and tenements specified. Witnesses: Res ap Ieuan, Ieuan ap John ap Gruffith, Hoell ap Ieuan ap Madoc. Note of enrolment in the 13th Court of the commote of Issalet, 22 Henry VIII.

Agreement between Robert Salusbury and David Lloid ap Robert both of Debilande, between whom there was variance depending in the Council in the Marches of Wales on the title of a messuage called Buttegour and of eight other tenements and lands, meadows, etc., belonging, in the commote of Dynmell, lordship of Denbigh; Robert Salusbury is to have the land to him and his heirs, paying David an annuity of 16s. 8d., both parties to make assurance of the premises as by an order at Ludlow before the said Council 10 November, 1535; the said David is to bargain and sell the premises accordingly to Robert and with Moryce Gethyn to make an estate therein before Purification next, with a clause of warranty against Lewes, Abbot of Commere; the said David shall also indemnify the said Robert for any sum of money to be asked by Gruffith ap Elice, by reason of any bequest made to Gruffith by Rys ap Elice, his brother; the said Robert is to grant before Christmas next to David an annual rent of 16s. 8d. going out of the premises, at Michaelmas.

Merioneth, and John Thelwall of Ruthyn Land, on variance on the right to messuages and lands, etc., in the town of Rewbebillt, in the commote of Doggfeilin in the lordship of Deffreyncloyd. Rober Salesbury is to have the premises with appurtenances paying John Thelwall 13s. 4d. p.a. as by an award made by Robert ap Pell Lloid and Gruffith Lloid ap John, dated 8 October 1537. Bargain and Sale accordingly by John Thelwall to Robert Salusbury of the messuages, etc; Robert to make an annual rent of 13s. 4d. issuing out of the premises to John. Signed: Robert Salysbury.
