[Berber musician]

A Berber musician seated on the floor with a tambourine in his hand and looking back at the photographer over his left shoulder. He is wearing a white turban and a striped Djellaba. A dance troupe can be seen in the background.

[Two men in uniform]

Two men in uniform, one seemingly that of a railway worker, the other possibly a steward. Part of what appears to be a brake wheel is visible on the left of the photo. Possibly taken during David Lloyd George's visit to Brazil in 1928. Photo is out of focus.

[David and Margaret Lloyd George sitting on recliners aboard a ship]

Landscape format photo of David & Margaret Lloyd George sitting on the deck of a ship. Both are sitting on reclining chairs, and swathed in blankets. Margaret is reading a broadsheet newspaper, David Lloyd George appears to be writing. On page 160 of 'The Real Lloyd George' (London, 1947) A J Sylvester writes "As usual, he wrote these in his own hand whilst sitting wrapped up in rugs on the deck." This photo is believed to be from his 1927-8 visit to Brazil and taken aboard the Blue Star Liner 'Avelona.'

[Rough sea]

A rough sea, presumably photographed from a ship. In 'The Real Lloyd George' (London, 1947) A J Sylvester wrtites of their outward journey to Brazil "... the Bay of Biscay was in one of its worst moods. Huge seas came crashing onto the ship, drenching the decks..."
