Catherine Kingdon letters,

A group of letters (drafts) and notes, 1817-1844, written by Catherine Kingdon (1753-1845), a great-grandmother of George Eyre Evans, mostly addressed to her son James Kingdon, concerning financial matters, the Dalwood property, and the deed of separation between herself and her husband, Joseph; instructions relating to her will, written on paper previously inscribed by 'Wm. Page Kingdon November 5th 1791'; an account of money due to her solicitor, John Melhuish,1842; a letter to her grand-daughter, Emma Kingdon, 1844; &c. English. Cilgwyn chapel registers,

Material gathered by George Eyre Evans in his search for the lost registers of Cilgwyn Congregational Church near Llangybi, co. Card. The material includes notes, items of correspondence, and cuttings of articles from the Welsh Gazette by 'Philip Sidney' [George Eyre Evans], containing transcripts of parts of the lost registers. A commonplace book which belonged to the Reverend Dr. William Davies of Froodvale [Ffrwd-y-fâl, parish of Cynwyl Gaeo, co. Carmarthen] in 1857, which passed to the Reverend Dr. David Lloyd, Classical Professor and Principal at the Presbyterian College, Carmarthen, whose widow presented it to George Eyre Evans. The volume includes: a record of the churches and chapels other than Highgate, Whitchurch, at which George Eyre Evans preached between 1889 and 1901; an account of some of the original dissenting congregations within twenty miles of Stourbridge; a bibliography of chapel histories and monographs for England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales; a list of the monthly meetings of Protestant dissenting ministers of Warwickshire and neighbouring counties, 1782-1855; a list of churches and chapels visited by George Eyre Evans; notes on ministers of the Presbyterian Chapel, Whitchurch, co.
