Abstract of Title of David Jones to the entirety of Pencaeyrodin otherwise Tyr Jevan ap Jevan David Llanfair and to a moiety of Penygarn otherwise Tyr Lewis David ap Jenkin Gytto with two pieces of land called Erwrgarn and Erwyr Keven, all in p. Llanfairclydogeu, co. Cardigan, fro, 1710, sold to John Jones, esq.

  1. William Lewes of Llys newydd, co. Carmarthen, esq., (trustee of the within mentioned premises). 2. John Jones of Ludlow, co. Salop, glover and Richard Sankey of the same, schoolmaster (trustees and executors of the will of Walter Jenkins, late of Ludlow, gent., decd., who was cousin and heir of Margaret Jenkins, late of Penddole, p. Llandewybrevy, co. Cardigan, spinster decd., who was only issue, heiress and absolute devisee of Jenkin Jenkins, late of Penddole, gent., decd. and which said Walter Jenkins was nephew and (at his decease) heir of Jenkin Jenkins). 3. John Jones of Derry Ormond, co. Cardigan, now residing at Grace Church Street, London, esq. Lease and Release with Covenant to Levy a Fine of Olmarch Issa, p. Bettws Bledrws. Consideration: £1,355. Recites that David Jones of Derry Ormond, since decd., mortgaged the property to Francis Biddulph and James and Thomas Somers Cocks for £2000 in 1773 [cf. nos. 54-55]; that D.J. then sold part of the mortgaged premises, inc. this property, to David Davies, Abel Evans and Jenkin Jenkins [see nos. 57-58]. He then died and devised his estate to John Edwards, John Morgan and Daniel Evans as trustees for sale, to discharge debts, with residue for his nephew Stephen Jones. his wife Sarah, being sole execturix. Because the £2,000 mortgage was unpaid at D.J's death, the said F.B.J. and T.S.C. filed a Bill in Chancery for its recovery, and in pursuance of a Decree, the reconveyed the property to 1 subject to the equity of redemption mention in nos. 54-55. By another Decree, 1781, all estate of D.J. decd., (except those bought by D.D. A.E. and Jenkin Jenkins) were sold and put of monies arising, D.D. A.E. and Jenkin Jenkins were repaid their share of the said mortgage and interest as advance by them to F.B.J. and T.S. Cocks; that no conveyance had yet been made by 1 of the legal estate of the premises bought by Jenkin Jenkins of D.J. including Olmarch Issa; that Jenkin Jenkins died and devised his real estate to Margaret Jenkins [cf. no. 105] his daughter, who died unmarried in 1789, leaving her cousin, Walter, heir, and seized of the premises bought by Jenkin Jenkins of D.J.; that Walter Jenkins died in 1794 and devised his estate to 2 in trust for specified uses and Olmarch Issa was bought by 3 at auction for £1,355.

Cardigan and Declaration of the Uses of a Fine of one sixth part thereof suffered by the said John Rowland and Mary, his wife.
