Two photographs of Griffith Evans receiving the Freedom of the City of Bangor

2 photographs relating to Griffith Evans receiving the Freedom of the City of Bangor in 1931, both torn in half. One photographs shows the Mayor along with members of the council in the chamber presenting Evans' daughter with a box with a note on the reverse reading "The presentation of the Freedom of the City of Bangor to Griffith Evans MRCVS, MDCM, DSC. The ceremony in the council chamber. The casket received by Myfanwy Wynona Sarfitt nee Evans his eldest daughter who represented him. This photograph was numbered 68 but was renumbered 60a and 60b in December 2023.
The second photograph shows the Mayor and council members presenting the casket to Griffith Evans in his bed and the note on the reverse reads " The presentation of the Freedom of the City of Bangor to Griffith Evans MRCVS, MDCM, DSC. The ceremony of delivering the casket to Griffith Evans who was bedridden. January 1931. The photograph which was originally numbered 67 was renumbered 60c and 60d by Rob Phillips in December 2023.
