Clettwr estate deeds

The series comprises deeds, 1620-1916, relating to the Clettwr estate in the parishes of Llanarth and Llanllwchaearn, Cardiganshire.

T̂he series comprises papers and articles, [c. 1880]-1899, by her on the role of women in society, especially women's suffrage, temperance issues and literary subjects.

Essays and examination papers

The series comprises approximately forty essays, 1871-1873, on various topics, apparently written in her late teens-early twenties, and a few by her brother, Philip Griffiths. A number have been corrected, probably by the teacher. Four university examination papers are also included.

The series comprises one letter, 1926, from the Librarian at the National Library of Wales, acknowledging Dr Goronwy Jones's donation and another letter, [c. 1930], from Morgan E. Jones of, and relating to, Rhydyrhaiarn, Talgarreg, Llandysul.

The series comprises, amongst other material, extracts from letters, [c. 1809]-1881, mainly to or from the Rev. John James, Gellionnen, genealogical material, including that relating to the family of Llwynrhys, Llanbadarn Odwyn, and notes of archaeological interest.

The series comprises extracts by Dr Goronwy Jones from a diary of the Rev. John Thomas, [Llandysul], 1819-1857, from diaries of the donor's father, Rees Jenkin Jones, 1856-1924, and from diaries of his grandfather, the Rev. John Jones, 1836-1859.

The series consists of a volume of press cuttings, [c. 1889]-1941, bearing the name of Dr Goronwy Jones and containing, amongst other things, a series of 'notes historical' by the Rev. Rees Jenkin Jones on 'Old Aberdare', published in The Aberdare Leader, 1921-1922.

The series comprises diaries, 1836-1859, relating mainly to the Rev. John Jones's work as Unitarian minister of Hen Dŷ Cwrdd and as schoolmaster at Aberdare.

Pantydefaid congregation

The series comprises a statement by the Rev. John Jones, March 1833, 'of the origin and progress of the misunderstanding existing between the members of the once united and friendly congregation at Pantydefaid in the parish of Llandysul, Cardiganshire'. Also included is a transcript, in Rev. Simon Jones's hand, of one page of the statement.
