Workbook and manuscripts from Mansel Thomas's youth up until the time of his B.Mus. degree (Durham University) in 1930, along with fragments and sketches of his later work.
Workbook compiled during the period 1918-1925, the earliest pieces were compiled with the help of his father, Theophilus Thomas. Most are scores copied from a book of children's hymn tunes, others are tunes compiled by Mansel Thomas.
