The group comprises family papers, consisting mainly of letters and a small number of other personal papers belonging to three members of the Hubbard family, 1886, 1901-1963.

The group comprises papers concerned with publication of Hubbard's own books and articles, 1862-1988, his editorial work for other authors, 1896-1972, broadcasting, 1949-1958, research on canine topics, [post-1786]-1995, papers deriving from his sojourn in Australia, 1953-1958, and work-related letters, 1948-1995. Additional material includes obituaries and tributes to Doggie Hubbard, 2000 and 2003.
