A scrapbook, containing items from the period June 1897-Dec. 1908, which belonged to John Wynford Philipps, 1st Viscount St Davids (1860-1938), Liberal MP for Mid-Lanark, 1888-92, and for Pembrokeshire, 1898-1908. The scrapbook contains mainly press cuttings, but there are also some photographs, including several depicting the 1906 general election campaign in Pembrokeshire, and one of David Lloyd George at Tenby golf links in October 1908. There are also two letters to Viscount St Davids from Joseph Addison, 1918, and Austen Chamberlain, 1919, and a letter from the Rev. Sir James Evans Philipps to his future wife Mary Anne Bickley, 1821.

A scrapbook kept by Desmond Donnelly between 1941 and 1949 containing a large number of press cuttings, score cards and a few letters concerning his involvement with the British Empire Cricket Team, and the parliamentary elections at Evesham in 1945 and County Down in 1946 when Desmond Donnelly stood as a candidate. There is a letter, 30 May 1946, from Attlee to Desmond Donnelly wishing him well in the County Down by-election, and a letter, 1 Aug. 1945, from Richard Acland to Desmond Donnelly concerning the latter's candidature as a Commonwealth candidate.

Detailed typescript diary notes by Desmond Donnelly for 4 February 1963 following the death of Hugh Gaitskell and discussing the succession to the party leadership, together with a letter, 13 February 1961, from Gaitskell to Desmond Donnelly discussing political life and the prospects of the Labour Party written in response to a letter from Desmond Donnelly. There are also typescript notes prepared by Desmond Donnelly in the event of George Brown succeeding to the leadership of the Labour Party - 'I am having it ready just in case little Harold [Wilson] were to throw in the towel on Thursday night.'.

There are also typescript memoranda on the 'Economic Policy of [the] Labour Party' and 'Taxes', and a memorandum by Dingle Foot, MP, 30 Sept. 1955, on Labour Party policy following defeat in the 1955 General Election.
