Letter from F. J. Hinton, Assistant Secretary to the Welsh Church Commission, from 39 Cathedral Road, Cardiff, to Major F. G. Davies at Tyglyn, Ciliau Aeron, co. Card. The commissioners, having received a report from the land valuation department and a copy of a faculty relating to the problem, agree that St Alban's chapel, Tyglyn, had not been vested in them.

The writer had just arrived home from Egypt. He was serving on a medical recruiting board. He encloses (no. 170) an extract from a history of the Royal Society, a pamphlet by Alban Thomas which had been suppressed by the government. The said Alban Thomas had been mixed up in Bishop Atterbury's plotting for the restoration of the Stuarts and had been compelled to bolt to Scotland.
