Tommy the Tugboat (1956),

‘A Daniel to Danydre’,

Correspondence (1963) and a typescript copy (c. 1956) of a story featuring Welsh local characters, submitted to the BBC in 1956 and again in 1963 but not accepted. See also correspondence in file 63.

‘Gale warning’,

Correspondence and a typescript copy of an adult story relating to a late 1940’s coast/fishing boat submitted to various magazines including ‘Wife and home’, 'Woman’s companion' & 'Sunday companion' but not accepted.

‘Henry’,

Typescript copy of a modern story for children relating to Henry Tudor written for the Cheltenham Festival of Literature short story competition.

‘Miniature gardens’,

Correspondence and two typescript copies, with slight differences, of a factual article, and an extract from the issue of ‘Pembrokeshire Federation of Women’s Institutes – Produce Guild Bulletin’ (March 1956) in which it was published.

‘The contented scarecrow’,

Two typescript copies of a story about Raggety the scarecrow, the original has many corrections; an extract from Sunny Stories, and correspondence. The story was sent to Collins Feb 1956 but was not accepted, rewritten and accepted by Sunny Stories; also included is an extract from ‘Sunny Stories’, 1 March, 1956.

‘The Gold Cup’,

Correspondence and a typescript copy of a humorous sailing story for adults that was submitted to ‘Yachting World’, but not accepted.

‘Three’s a crowd’,

Correspondence (1949) and a typescript copy of a romantic short story submitted to various publishers. Published in the ‘Co-operative Home Magazine’ in February, 1950, an extract is included.
