Family letters

The series comprises letters, [1956]-1978, from Gertrude, Gladys and Peggy, sisters of Rhys Davies, mainly from Gladys, discussing family and financial matters, together with a few letters written by Rhys Davies to Gladys and Gertie; and letters, 1955-1956, relating to their father's estate.

Financial papers

The file, 1944-1954, includes receipts for payments made to Rhys Davies by publishers and the media, account statements, particulars for his earnings and expenditures, and letters relating to the financial details of his literary works.

Girl waiting in the shade

The file comprises papers, [1947]-[1977], relating mainly to foreign holidays taken by Rhys Davies in places such as Amsterdam, Paris, Venice and British destinations, including a passport which was issued in 1947.
