Petition made by thirteen mussel gatherers from Porthmadog relating to an allegation made by a Birmingham Health Inspector that the mussels were contaminated and that they therefore had to stop sending mussels to Birmingham. Copy.

Letter from T. L. Manchester to R. A. Dawson, apologising for not being able to be present at a meeting. He does not think that they will have problems with the garfish matter. There has also been good fishing off Cilan Head.
Returns as to the fishing industry for the year 1892, for most fishing ports in the Western Sea Fisheries District, along with two letters to R[andal] Casson relating to the returns, from the chief officer of New Quay Coastguard and from Thomas Ellis of Holyhead.
List of fishing boats registered at the port of Caernarfon giving their names, tonnage, and type (e.g.. cutter), as well as returns of the fishing industry for the port of Caernarfon for 1892, and a printed copy of Regulations for the Lettering, Numbering, and Registering of British Fishing Boats (under the 1868 Act).
Letter from the Board of Trade to R[andal] Casson, along with statistics showing the annual catch rate in the district between 1887 and 1891, the quantity of fish conveyed inland by rail between 1887 and 1891, and the number of boats registered under the Sea Fisheries Act of 1868 at certain ports within the district.
Quarterly Report ending 20 December 1895, by D. Pritchard, Fishery Officer, for the area from Porthdinllaen to Llwyngwril, reporting an improvement in catches by the deep sea trawlers from Pwllheli but the smaller ones have not done so well, being old and leaky. There have also been as many as eighteen Hoylake boats in Pwllheli at one time. He has difficulty getting out in a boat during the winter months, and notes that the mesh of many trawl nets is small.
Report by D. Pritchard, Fishery Officer for the area from Porthdinllaen to Llwyngwril, reporting the crew of a Hoylake fishing boat, 'Comet' LL53, which refused to ease speed to board for examination of her trawl net, off Caernarfon's new dock, as well as a letter from Fishery Officer D. Pritchard to R[andal] Casson, stating that the vessel 'Comet' has been transferred from Liverpool to the Isle of Man.
