Quarterly Report ending 20 December 1895, by D. Pritchard, Fishery Officer, for the area from Porthdinllaen to Llwyngwril, reporting an improvement in catches by the deep sea trawlers from Pwllheli but the smaller ones have not done so well, being old and leaky. There have also been as many as eighteen Hoylake boats in Pwllheli at one time. He has difficulty getting out in a boat during the winter months, and notes that the mesh of many trawl nets is small.

Quarterly Report ending 14 March 1895, by D. Pritchard, Fishery Officer for the area from Porthdinllaen to Llwyngwril, reporting that the Pwllheli boats had been laid up because of bad weather but that some boats had been fishing in deep waters off Aberystwyth and off the lightship making fair catches. He recommends transplanting mussel to Pwllheli for breeding and reports that over 181 tons of fish had been sent from Pwllheli the previous year apart from fish consumed locally.
